HURRI HillS
Portraits from Huri Hills, The Gabra are pastoral nomads of Northern Kenya's arid highlands, living in one of the harshest environments on the continent. Their resilience is embedded in their daily survival, in the preservation of tradition amid rapid change, in the joy they hold on to in an unforgiving landscape.
A 691 km adventure up North, Marsabit County, led to meeting some amazing souls. These portraits are an attempt to honor them, not as subjects of documentation, but as individuals whose strength and warmth cut through the remoteness of where they live.
