MT KENYA
We set out to hike Mount Kenya as strangers, loosely connected by a shared goal: SUMMIT. At first, the usual stranger silence, each of us carrying more than just our packs. As the days unfolded, so did we. We bonded over slow ascents, shared water, and campfire banter. The mountain carved out a space where stories came easily and laughter echoed through altitude.
On the final day, I pulled each person aside and made a portrait. It’s the way I hold onto people: by freezing a moment where everything feels known. These portraits aren’t just records of faces, they’re reminders of a journey, a temporary tribe, and the beauty of arriving together.
